I was double checking for adequate spark and looking at the manuals. It is not clear to me if it matters which way the coil pack is installed/oriented on the ICM. In the service manual the blue common wire is going to 1,3,5 but in the electrical manual the common is going to 2,4,6. My plug wires are routed correctly. What do you think, should I turn it 180 degrees and find out?
Sorry about that, I think that was the wrong question. The question aught to be, "would it matter if the common wire is on the odd or even side of the coil?" Seems to me like it doesn't matter but just to be safe, I'm moving it to the even side per the electrical manual.
That diagram had me all turned around. I found a pic from when I changed the ICM, and it shows the original wiring, and that is how the new coils were installed a couple years ago. My common is connected to the even numbered terminals.
