I dont have the brand name handy here at work, but it was less than $30 on ebay. It works good, and I love all the other feedback the app gives besides reading codes.

i used to have this problem myself during the really cold months. but mine was a way different problem. i park on a pretty steep grade, so i use my parking brake. during the cold months, somehow moisture creeps into the parking brake and causes it to freeze and locking it in place. when i disengage my parking brake, the light goes out but the brake is still engaged at the rotor. not realizing this, i have driven with the condition and had my rear rotor glowing hot from the contact of the ebrake. i dont know if you park with your ebrake, but as you have said, when you let the car thaw out a little bit the problem goes away.... needless to say, i have not used my brake in a while because i dont want to fork over 350 to fix the ebrake after i just dumped 1200 for a new rack and powersteering pump.

Don't think there is a code specific in regard to which tire. THe WSS'* are easy to pull off and on though and a dab of grease in each solved this for me early on in my ownership. I live on a Lake in a hollow where the humidity is always high. You should see my rotors if I let the car sit for 2 weeks.

One minor item you have all overlooked. On the 2004 and 2005 the rear air shocks have little plastic hoses that come from the compressor. These plastic hoses have a tendency to get a hole rubbed in them. If your SSS light continues to make dinging noises after all the wheal sensors have been cleaned, or replaced you may want to check the hoses for slow leaks. These annoying little holes will cause the SSS to ding because the shock is not fully inflating etc.
