You are right, it is going to be long road with GM, but I still think it is worth pursuing. If I cannot swap the car out, I would be happy if GM offered me an extended warranty at no charge and allowed me to keep the car. This may be a better option for everyone.

Thanks,
Well if you could get a brand new one that would be great but I think they might have just as many problems. I tried to get a GM buyback on a 95 Oldsmobile Aurora 10 years ago and with all the hoops they made me jump thru I just gave up and plus I was much younger. The car had been into the dealer for over 35 times and had major failures like 2 trannys 1 steering rack new injectors new cat convertor etc within 1 year of owning the car.

I wish you good luck and hope they do work with you.

Has anyone had these problems before? If so, what has been the outcome? Or, am I just being picky?
I love my GXP, but it has been back to the dealer 7 times since it'* purchase in December 2005. I am disappointed with the problems I have been having.

Thanks,

Had the same problem. It'* a high pitched squeel on mine that is apparent when you're not even on the brakes. Was just a caliper that was dragging. Same as your problem.
