Wiring stereo, what color does what 1996 sse - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

First thing, big_mo005, please turn off the all caps.... it is viewed as yelling.

Second, elite-zone, if your factory harness is NOT cut, DON"T CUT IT!!!! get one of these Receiver Wire Harness
For select Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Isuzu, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Saturn models, 1985-up
. That one is from crutchfield.com, but they can also be had at wal-mart, and all local stereo shops.

you simply wire it up to your new head unit and then it just "plugs in" to the factory harness.
