If your just looking for the simplest one, nothing fancy, Presteige by Audiovox is pretty decent. I've owned countless units, a handful of them being starter/alarms, and have had not one complaint. (they all went with the car when trading/selling)

I haven't had any experience with them for a couple of years, but if you can find somewhere to buy one wholesale, you'll get a damn good system for a great price.

DEI stuff, in general, is pretty simple. Easy to install as well. GM cars (well, most anything older than 2005, minus Impala'* and there stupid diode-isolating the headlamp line, but thats another matter) are super easy to do.

Then again, I've had to use relay'* on other vehicles to wake up module'* so keyless entry systems would work.

Anyways.... GM vehicles are easy to do. I could walk you through it.
