there is an option to disable the theft lock in the manual so you dont have mess with it in the future if your battery goes dead or something

I could never get that procedure to work to display any numbers, the radios were the same model number, however I went out and put the old radio back in and it works perfectly go figure, guess it just needed a little attention.
