Default stereo removal

Hi all, this is my first post on this website. My question: I have a 97 SSE. I got a cd stuck in the stereo last night and need to pull out the unit to try and remove it. There is a large black plastic pc that goes around the stereo and climate control and over to the steering column. Does that pc just pull off? It seemed like it would but I don't know if there are any hidden screws! Thought I would ask before I broke it!

Thanks,
Bob

No it just clips on. Be careful not to snap it in half when removing it.

I found that if you run your fingers along the edge, and reach behind..you will limit the stress on the PLASTIC tabs that make up the clip..
