umm, you should have 2 sets of wires in the door...one for the 5.25 and one for the tweeter.....there is NO NEED to tap into the 5.25 wires

im 100000000% positive that you have 2 sets of wires in the door.....that is how EVERY bonne with factory tweeters are wired......they didnt change it.....you may have to peel the plastic on the door back and LOOK for it...THEY ARE THERE

pat you are 100000% wrong. there is only 1 pair of wires that goes into the door. and then there are crossover components that are glued to the back of the 5.25 with another connector for the tweeter.

You can run the factory tweeter like that but you NEED the little components that rest on the back of the stock speaker. Or you have to figure out what they are and buy aftermarket ones. I say this because the tweeter is only designed to work for a certain set of frequencies and the compnents on the back of the 5.25 filter out the unwanted freq.

When I pull my door panels I only have to undo one connector for the speakers.

EDIT: That darn kid with the wrong grill got to it first...
