question about other member's car..
My intent was not to offend...
Just clarifying my meaning of "enclosed space"
which was taken to mean the sub enclosure...
Certainly no "know it all" and did'nt intend to come off that way either.
Stated up front that better quality drivers will withstand reverse
pressure better than factory / paper cone drivers. But the effect
is present reguardless and bigger boxes generate more pressure.
I try NOT to speak on subjects I'm not versed on...
I do speak with some authority but thats the fault
of being 40 something and nothing else
- I'm likely one of the few here that'* really installed an 8-track SuperTuner!
No offence intended....

When I first put my 15s in my car, the first note they hit, the cones blew out of my stock 6x9s. The bass also made my back windshield pound against my third brake light. When I redid my back deck I used foam baffles in the 6.5s. These didn't make the speakers sound much clearer (but they are some of the clearest speakers IMO), but they are now in no way affected by the bass. As for the third brake light, I carpeted over it, problem solved
