The relay is just for running the starter, the switch will signal the relay to power the starter which is safer than running all that power through the switch

the bypass would be connected to a second hidden switch so if you want to disable the keyless system you can

for a remote start you still need a normal remote start, you just have a bypass already there since to the remote start starting the car is a lot more than just turning the car on and cranking it, it checks that the car is running and makes sure someone can't get away without the key (which we will work around)
