the FIRST thing you need to do is set a budget. W/o one you are in for a shitty ride.

Then get back to us on the kind of music you like and what you would like to get out of it.

also how much trunk space you are willing to give up.

Personally I wouldn;t use any of the subs suggested in this thread but different strokes for different folks

For $110ish that Diamond Audio D3 is nice Well my dual 4ohm model is atleast... But then again it'* got a good setup and good install.

But Corvettecrazy is right! What do you want out of a stereo? Do you want subs to show off, wow the chicks, have an amazing sound, compete, or somewhere in the middle.

Do you have a budget, do you mind buying online, etc,? Can you build your own boxes...

I would spend up to $500 I guess. I just want some bass when I listen to my music. Mostly listen to rock, heavy metal, some alternative......

I would buy the subs, amp, and box(*).

if you just want a fuller bottom end, you could probably get away with a single sub set up

Another thing to look at is don't cheap out on the signal cables. Get the best ones you can afford. I've got some numbers and web addresses that may be helpful to you. If you would like them, shoot me a pm.
