new sub
Hey gang, In response to the wiring my new subs post and the interest it generated, I thought it all over and got on the phone. I got a hold of Crutchfield and I am gonna swap my 2 4 ohm SVC subs, in for a Infinity Kappa 124.7w, DVC. I haven't sent my old ones back yet due to being a tad under the weather. It is a nice looking sub I'd post a link to it but, I don't know how. Thanks for all yalls help.

good luck man! what amp are you going be using? the fosgate? if so, you may want to consider stepping it up and giving it a little more power. You should look at elemental designs. I actually wanted to start a thread telling everyone about them. You can get a 1200 watt mono block for less than 400 bucks. Its rated at 1200 watts at 12.5 volts!

Hey Brian, Yeah I'll be using the 500a2. I think it will be alright for right now. Maybe later on I'll upgrade but for now I'm gonna try it and see how it does.
Hey, you know much about crossover freqs.? The amp I'm gonna run my mids and highs off of has a built in crossover and so does my alpine. Which crossover should I use or should I use both??
thanks,
Tim
