Those pics are somewhat decieving. I have the display tilted. Flush mounting would push it a little farther away, and right now it'* literally the perfect reach for my arm length and seat position.

A bit on the gaudy side for a 5 minute ride don't you think?

On that wire.. pick up a wire/pin from a wrecker and toss it into another cavity. Last thing you want to do is hardwire to the HU.

Everything not going through the wiring adapter will be quick-disconnect spade terminals. With matching factory colors for the wires.

There are a fair amount of blank pins in the connector.. Add them.

Those pins are deadheaded in my wiring adapter. There'* no way to add pins.

Then you got the cheap adapter. I paid $7 for one and it was possible to add more. My adapter unplugs quick and easy. Spades won't give you a good connection that you want in the car.

Spades are fine for a simple small amp power feed. If it was an audio signal, I'd go a different route, but this is just power.
