New DVD HU.....UPDATE....new custom illuminated install kit.
Blowing the dust off this one simply because it still relates......
I got another one for the other car. Just had hand surgery on the right hand, so I'll take my time over the next couple days on the install. It'll be nice to have the same one in both cars.
Got a deal I couldn't refuse, but I'll be paying for it in labor on his Buick GN in February/March.

thank you paul, at least SOMEONE has confidence in my abilities, not to pin it on anyone DAD. He actually got extra adaptors cause he thought id mess up, granted, i did, but still i would have liked to know he trusted me to do a good job, besides, i could not figure out how to use the splitter thingy, to get some of the isulation off of the wires! I ended up using the crimper for it, it was harder but i actually understood how to use it!
For the record, I trusted her completely, and after the first two splices, I never watched her work. She pull-tested each one herself. Install is today. Gotta move the engine hoist and engine/engine stand a bit to get the car in the garage and turn the heat on first.
I seen your strippers, and highly suggest picking up a pair of these. They are only $10-15 depending on where you find them.
Or.... if you want a little secret. Go to Radioshack, and by there tools, they have some Automatic Wire Strippers also. They are rebadged Mac Tool'* strippers. The Radioshack/Mac Tool'* strippers are a bit bigger, but there'* a humongous increase on quality.
Otherwise, these will work fine for ya, especially if you don't do much wiring. I use these pretty much daily at work, and they wear out pretty quick.

Chris, you may have seen the crimper/strippers, but I doubt you recognize what that black and yellow thing there is, or the other two strippers back in the toolbox that Katie tried. I had her make her own choice. I have 4 different styles of strippers here.
This is the best I've owned:

I've had that set for almost 20 years, but Katie'* hands are too small to use them comfortably. These stripers automatically hold the wire, close the strip blades, and cut the insulation 360 degrees, then seperate it. With one squeeze. Then they automatically release the wire.
