Default New CD head unit

Looking at upgrading the head unit and was wondering if anybody has either the Alpine CDA9831 or the Pioneer DEH8600MP in their car? Interested in your opinions on them. Good or bad I would like to know before spending hard earned cash.

Thanks.

I have the 9831 and i like it. Plenty of colors to choose from for the display, almost 500 of them so you can get it to match your dash pretty easily. The I-personalise is almost usless on it though.

ive got the 7600 which is older and cheaper but it sounds as good as anything else out there. I figure that when you go more expensive you pay for extra features more than anyting.
