Need some sub advice - Page 21 - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

No, ordered it off of ebay for $5 less shipped. Plus, I had $37 in ebay bucks to put toward that, so I only ended up paying $12 and change. Now I just need to figure out how to mount it below my head unit.

Nice!

Do you have that lil' pocket below your head unit? What I did on mine was cut the back of that pocket out and trimmed it enough so I could slide the EQ in to it...I made sure it was a very tight fit. Used some plumbers tape to secure it to the deck so it was supported, wired it up and was all good. And to put the cherry on top, the Acura CL was essentially the same interior as my Accord so I got ahold of the factory deck install kit which had a little spring loaded door that covered that pocket and modified the door so it worked on mine, so when I wasn't using the EQ I could just fold up the door and it looked stock

Nice. Yeah, I do have that little pocket. I think I'll cut it out like you suggested. Man this is going to be cool!

That looks a little ghetto-fied, but i might be able to clean it up a bit with some dremel smoothing and spray paint.
