Default What the heck is Bose Dynamic Equalization?

What does Dynamic Equalization do? Is there an amplifier somewhere? I have a bunch of stereo equipment from about 10 years ago I may want to install but would want to keep the factory head unit so as not to get a nicer one ripped off. My 97 SSEi'* system sounds very medocre for a car at the original MSRP. I've been waiting for a car worthy of the time involved in putting it all in.

if you want to keep the OEM radio, you can, all you need is a set of hi quality line out converters

have any ideas what you want to do basically? replace everything? add an amp or two? subwoofer?

Default Sound system mods

Well I have an old alpine 3554 dual channel amp with built in crossover and a hardly used set of Boston Acoustic 5.2 separates. Not sure if they will simply drop into the doors though. I really have no time for making mods to the doors and stuff. As for the rear fill I may just keep the factory set up. Not sure of the factory speakers ohms compatibility to the Alpine (recall its a 4 ohm amp. Besides that I would like some sub bass but don't want to fill up the trunk or spend much money. Not sure what the options are nowdays. my wife already doesnt like that I spent so much on a 1997 car. She still doesn't understand the big deal about a supercharged car.

I guess generally I would like to make the sound acceptable using mostly what I have which includes the above plus lots of pretty quality rca cables and monster cable.

Any Ideas are welcome.
