wow. you did a lot better job with that then I did with mine! Mine rattles over big bumps. :( Plus, I couldn't find a way to use a hinge on my car so I just used 90* angles in the back. :( I wish mine swung down though! I did cover mine off though so it kind of looks stock.

I see what you mean now corvettecrazy. So you can sneak the spare out from under there eh? I might do someting like that if I ever get around to switching to a single cap and building my own boxes. I think I would have clearance issues if I tried to raise the boxes I have now.
1993 SLE I too thought about putting them on the trunk lid. Yours looks great! I thought it would make it kinda heavy though, and that is where I ended up moving my compass thing to.

1993 SLE (pat'* ) trunk is VERY heavy. I dont think amp'* would impact the compass thinger. Speakers will, because of their magnetic fields.
