I tried to get the resistance from the key and came up with several types of readings. .04 ohms, 7.5 ohms, 14 ohms. I don't know if my digital multimeter is messing up on me or what. Should I set the reading to a certain ohm? I don't have extra built-in relays for the immobilizer bypass though, sorry to mention that too late. It'* just for keyless entry and the starter I think. I have to purchase a relay and wire it or they're bypass product which is basically the same thing..

Your resistor should be one of these. That said, the resistor I used in my 95 regal isnt on the list.

This will disable the VATS and not just a temporary bypass right? I guess I'll use this method until I order that bypass kit since it'* only $8.00. One last question then I'm out your hair, I was readin gthe link you posted and it says to connect the resistor into the circuit side of the connector. So, do I insert both end of that resistor into that one side? :?

Iight, I measured the key again and I got 7.5. So instead of buying a 7.5k resistor I made one from the resistors I had when I was in school for electronic engineering at Devry. I had to wire up 7 resistors to get a 7.5k reading.

If I'm not mistaken, Isn't the red/white thick wire from the ignition harness a 2nd constant 12 volt wire?
