Default Stereo Problem

Hey Guys,

I have a 2000 Bonneville with factory stereo. The radio looks like it works; you can put a cd in and watch it change tracks, play the songs, etc. The radio stations also work. You can even retrieve station information, but there is no audio coming out of the speakers. Everything is still factory. I checked the fuses for Audio Amplifier, and CD, but didn't find either to be damaged. The radio is not on mute.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks & God Bless,

Travis

get a test speaker and splice it into one of the rear deck speakers... trace the problem starting with the speakers....then check the wires... then check the wires behind the radio...then check the radio

My money is on the bose amp. Its in the trunk behind the back seat. Either it has failed or wires have become unplugged from it.

I'd agree, I would pull the back seat out and look for an unplugedbad connection
