New to Bonny-Ville, Few General Questions, Tranny etc...
I just bought my 2001 Bonneville SE about 24 hours ago I love it! I just wanted to if there is anything I should look for while I still have my 30 day warrenty, Also how do I tell which tranny I have since is seems to be a problem on several models.
the car has 118000 on it but it was owned by a bank and its what they used to shuttle their big clients around in seems very strong and the price was great even with as many miles as it has it was still prety cheap ($5600). they had someone hired to wash and vaccum it once a week and it was waxed every month and a half.
Thanks All

Fill the coolant overflow tank to exactly the cold mark with the car cold and WATCH IT. Hopefully, it'* had the upper intake manifold work done. Sniff for coolant leaks.
I would heavily watch this and check for leaks. Window Regulators can be good today and bad on day 31 of your warranty.

the window thing...you will be driving along one day and the window will just drop. That or it will roll down and not come back up. There is a crappy plastic piece that breaks inside, you have to replace the entire regulator. I would get the trans flushed and change all the fluids so you know when they were last done.
Take it to a GM dealer and pay them the fee for a FULL VEHICLE inspection. It will cost upwards of $100 but it may suprise you what they find. They know what to look for, they know the common problems.
