I understand that if you apply pressure to an area on the underhood fuse block, that this has an affect on the stall problem you're having. Is this true? Relay #38 is the IGN 1 relay and is located near the center of the underhood fuse block. This relay closes power onto some very critical components just to mention a few: Both injector banks (INJR 1= cyl 2,4,6 INJR 2= cyl1,3,5), HO2S 1, HO2S2, Ignition Control Module, Boost Control Solenoid, Mass Air Flow Sensor, PCM IGN, and more. Just some thoughts, I may be out in left field here, but relays are relatively easy to check.

Driver John with my son BuckWheat were in John'* Gravenge with Matt in the Parts truck behind me when the Bullet stalled on I5 interstate just north of Portland on the way home from WCBF06 in Albany.
We tried and waited for over an hour and nothing.
Finally broke down and called the tow truck.
First time in my entire looooong life that I have ever been towed
Took it to a Chevy Dealer in Woodland Washington.
He figured it out after about an hour of testing.

It was fuse #19 in the underhood fuse panel. It controls the PCM and Ignition.
The fuse was good but the contacts were loose. He crimped them tighter and skewed the fuse prongs a little for tighter contact.

That should do it.

$100 for the tow. $100 for the Fix.

The engine check light has not returned.

Glad to hear you got that resolved. Fuse 19, the PCM IGN fuse is off the IGN 1 bus (IGN 1 relay) ,it also feeds the Start 2 relay. That was a good find. Get rid of that old fuse and replace with new when you get the chance.

I was wondering about the cranking issue. Great to know they're all related.

I still fear a potential link (jr's3800 pointed this out to me) between this and Mike Pepperni'* fire. If you look at his pics, it seems to have originated in that panel. Let'* all remember this and keep a sharp eye on the 2000'*.

Whoa! Now that is quite a find! Casual connection or not, I'll certainly be checking mine out!

Edit - Do you think that maybe new thread should be started with that as something to check out, just to be safe?

A short could easily have caused the fire. The best place for the short to original would be in this fuse panel.
Did Pepperni have any aftermarket accessory or sound system that could have been tied into it :?:

Paul:
Glad to see that the problem is resolved. Electrical problems can drive you up a wall and are very frustrating.
