Default Security Problem & No Start Condition

I HAVE A 2000 BONIVILLE NEED TO REMOVE THE SECURITY RELAY I REPLACED THE SWITCH AND DONT KNOW HOW TO FIND OUT WHAT RESISTOR I NEED TO INSTALL FOR IT TO CRANK

First off, should not jump on an old thread....

Second, do you have PKII or PKIII? II will have a black resistor with contacts on the shaft of the key......III will not have a resistor on the shaft of the key....it will look like an ordinary key, but it is not, it will have a transponder in the black head of the key.....this is a completely different system and can't be bypassed with a resistor....

Why are you removing the Security relay(assume you mean the starter enable relay)?

What switch are you talking about?

so first step is, determine if you have PKII or PKIII......

had same problem with an impala it was the bcm under drivers side dash.
