Gosh. WIsh you were more local. It'd just about let you borrow my car while you got yours fixed- like what I did with my brother when his LIM went! There aren't any cars you can borrow or anything? :( I'd just hate to see something bad happen to your bonne! (and have it cost you more $$ to fix) A good shop should be able to have your car done in just one day really.

Nope, there'* no-one I can borrow a car from. I wish there was also. So for now, I have to drive it until I can get the green to fix it.

OMG Leslie...I know how you feel, but understand that if you are getting coolant mixed with your oil, you are driving a ticking time bomb. I didn't have the cash when I changed mine out, but I rationalized that spending the $$ to fix it was cheaper than letting it go and ruining the engine.

I hitched a ride to work with a co-worker and had the kids go to school with a neighbor. As for the money...I didn't pay a couple of bills that month. I figured the utility companies could wait and were cheaper interest than a credit card.

Oddness, let me tell you. So no more coolant loss. It'* weird, the car is fine. I don't get it. The oil pressure is still at 120 while driving but other than that, my coolant has been fine. So I think I'm gonna wait until I get my tax money and flush the system, and change the LIM just so I don't have to worry about it. The mechanic says that he thinks I had a air pocket somewhere in the system and thats why I lost coolant. Who knows, if it starts losing it again, then I'll change the LIM a.*.a.p., but until then it'* going to wait until tax time.

so if the OP gauge is at 120 the sender has prolly failed... when they fail they default to the highest reading
