While you're inspecting things, you can look for things like this.

That'* from Brianj'* car when his lower went. That can just help to confirm it. You can have the problem without any outside indications.

Make sure to use the metal framed gaskets as mentioned regardless if you decide to go with DEXCOOL again..

Oh yeah, no doubt on that, the new gaskets are gonna go on, and Dex-cool will never EVER be put in my car again. What brand do you guys recommend I go with? I was looking at the Intense LIM gasket.

Oh geez...you could open things up there. Although, there likely won't be a disagreement on which brand (Prestone), there will be on which Prestone. Some of us (including me) recommend the "all makes, all models" coolant. Others recommend the Dex-compatible.

The Intense gaskets look ike the metal GM gaskets.

Just a small update....

Today the oil pressure spiked to 120 while driving and just over 100 while stopped. Also it'* a bit sluggish at times, but not all the time...
