I idle up to 3,000 rpms... is this normal after having taken all that apart.. i had to take off the throttle body positioning sensor... is there a special way to twist and put on or does it just go right on?
So I guess is it my TB Positioning sensor or is it normal?
It'* done this twice:
It goes straight to 2,000 then after about 8 seconds it gently increases towards 3,000 (or higher) but I shut it off around 3,000 rpms
I also have a small antifreeze leak between the LIM and my thermostat housing and between the thermostat housing and upper radiator hose. The below gasket (LIM gasket) which i replaced remains leak free. I cleaned off the surface of the Thermostat housing because it had gunk build up. Maybe that'* why?

idle is wayyy too high. you need to adjust the throttle position sensor, im pretty sure thats what u mean by tb pos sens.
do you have a scan tool with live data?

Well it ended up being the Trottle body positioning sensor. You could either put it on and turn left or right. I turned it right instead of left to line up the screw holes. The spring inside the TB pos. sensor was actually holding the TB open a little, hence high idle.
Other than that, I fixed the leak from the rad. hose to the T-stat housing by scraping off all the gunk from the previous dex-cool.
Still leaking from the LIM to the T-stat housing. So, I am going to go pick up that little rubber gasket.

Yeah I cleaned all the passages out real good, that'* what all those chunks were.
I remember seeing Bill Boost use the orange one... I didn't think anything of it until I put it in...ohhh yeah aren't the aluminum ones like white/grayish looking?

did you dab any RTV in the corners of the gaskets? doesnt look like it.
the aluminum framed gaskets would have been a wiser choice, but those plastic ones are better than what you took out.
there is a lot of coolant sitting around everywhere, did you get that cleaned up before you got it back together? changed your oil yet?
