You should be good to go for awhile now. I would seriously consider dumping the dexcool and flushing and going with prestone. I know alot of people like the dex and don't have any problems (my wife is one), but I just don't like the feel of it and don't trust it.

Are you gonna do any mods?? We got alot of good links to performance sites. You may also wanna keep an eye on the tranny, my car is an SE and I had to have the pressure control solenoid and another one changed out. The SSEI has the HD trans in it so it may not be as prone to those problems. Just a head up.

UGG!.. Back to the dealer she goes. The "Service Engine Soon" light came back on after driving 198 miles since it was supposedly fixed. They are still being cool about it. Gonna give me another loaner car.

And YES.... I plan on doing a few Mods. FWI, 3.5 pulley and pcm from Intense to get things started . I am waiting for my car to be in top mechanical shape before doing ANY mods. I want to start with a clean slate.

Most of those problems are common, first of all, Gm quality sucks more and more with every passing year and yes, the other owner probably trashed it. Your problems are nothing coompared to mine. To date I have Rebuilt the tranny only 8 months after buying it with 100k, ok maybe it was time to do it but at $1800 still a pisser. rear shocks (I only replaced shocks on one other car in my driving lifetime. These ones were actually broken). Brakes, major leaks at about 4 different locations. 3 door regulators. Fix them they break again. and one that NO ONE can seem to find the solution to...NO POWER at all to all doors except driver side. After some snow fell onto the drivers side control panel, I lost all power to the other three doors. This was 2 years ago and still no fix. a few suggestions on this site but no solutions. 2 mechanics and a total of about 6 hours and no fix. Car throws no codes about this and in fact boots the reader out after about 15 seconds of scanning. Heating seats now flucuate sometimes staying on and sometimes not. I have always owned Gm and this is by far the biggest disappointment I have owned and a major money pit at times. Car drives great, has lots of power but GM really chinsed out in many places where they should not have. For the $41K this car cost new, they sure did a real crappy job on the little things. My passion for the car and hopes of mod heaven died about 5 months after buying it, now I just try to keep it on the road.

Default Gas cap

I ovefilled the tank one day hoping to max out some cheap gas prices and I had check gas cap come up for almost the entire tank of fuel. Once it got low and I filled again the code went away. Once it clicks, just leave it.

As far as the Cat goes. i guess I had been misinformed. the check engine light was not a Cat code. it was the fuel tank pressure. (gas cap message). They replaced the LIM and every other gasket along the way and the Valve cover bolts were loose causing the oil leak. They told me if I have any more problems just let them know and they'd take care of it.

NOW...... I'm still looking for a Front License plate filler... Local Pontiac Dealer wants $65.05 for the part... then i still need to have it painted
