Default Met the previous owner of our Bonneville...

As many of you know my wife and I have a stained glass business. We do shows all over California. Due to the rising price of gas we have tried to stay close to home and do shows locally. One of the shows that we do every Saturday is a craft fair and farmers market here in Orange County.

We had just finished setting up our booth and a gentleman walked up and said to my wife, “I suppose you folks are the first ones here in the morning……do you have any idea who owns that white Bonneville over there?”

At the time, I was busy selling some stained glass peace symbol necklaces that I make, when I hear my wife say, “yea my husband Clark does.”

He walked over and shook my hand and tells us that he is the previous owner and that he hopes we know we have a great car. He goes on to say that he never missed a service appointment and that he had purchased the extended warranty with it.

I know this to be true because I have continued to take it in for service and where they will not print out the service history for me, the service manager has told me that if I come in for service and something has already been done, they will let me know.

We had a great time talking about the car, and I got the feeling that he missed her. He talked with a hint of nostalgia in his voice, just like he was talking about a lost love.

He said that she never gave him a days trouble……

We had often wondered what the previous owner was like, and so it was great to actually meet him. We hope to be able to sit down and talk with him at length about the car…..and why the heck he would ever have traded it in!

Of course we feel blessed to have found our beautiful Arctic White Bonneville.

I know personally both owners of my two Bonnevilles, and it'* a good feeling. No one will know the next previous owner of these two because they'll never be sold. Never!
