Apparently so. I know that the battery can work as a huge capacitor in smoothing out in particular higher frequency voltage fluctuations. It seems as if perhaps the high resistance connections may be either causing voltage variations, or not allowing the battery to smooth them out as well, and may be allowing confusing information to be sent to the computer. At least that'* my theory.

Damn sorry to hear that Mr. Boosty...j/k. I am on my tenth day without the light, nothing funny yet! Unless anyone has dealt with this, they couldn't possibly know what it does to your emotional well being(may lead to excessive whining, crying or urges to blow things up, etc.) I am really hoping that the positive cable is THE fix.

Billboost, If this does fix your problem you can thank me later.... j/k.

I wanted to give it some time. Especially since the last couple supposedly fixed didn't do it for me.

So far I have nothing but light free happieness to report.

No code P0171 currently exists on my car

That,* good to hear! I dont blame you one bit about being gun shy, the way one thing would fix it, then a week later it didn't. It is obvious this thread will help many, so maybe our pain was worth it.
