how to remove drivers seat
hey guys.i have a 2000 pontiac bonneville im parting out. has a real nice set of grey leather buckets in it i want to pull out before i call the scrap man. passenger came out no problem and i got 3 out of the drivers side but cant get to the other one(one that mounts to side of car). theirs no motor or trans in it but i put a battery on the cables and the seat goes up and down and tilts but wont move forward or backwards on the track (its a power seat). fuses are good.im guessing the motor to move forward an back is bad? idk? the seat has to be moved up though other wise you'll never get the torques head on it but beyond that is the fact that the track covers up the bolt when the seats all the way back. i messed with it for about an hour delay and got so damn mad i had to stop for the day. im out of ideas. and id hate to scrap this car with this great comfy bucket seats in the car (id like to use them for a project truck i want to build). is their like a manual lock release for the seat to slide forward or something? what can i do...any ideas?
i know. cars going to the scrapyard after this so i really dont care how i get it out as long as i dont mess up the seat or the track. i though about drilling it out from the other side? idk just an idea. i stil think their has to be a manual unlock release on these things somehow. HELP!!
