If you are getting another transmission, there are places in Sacramento (where I got one for an Olds) that have very good prices.

Hawk, no need to pry, if he doesn't want to tell where he is, that is his right. Not all people are as comfortable with their information on the net.

If you want to make a suggestion of where he could get a new trans, just say.

No its not that I live in Newman, Ca. Most people don't know where that is. It is about 45 minutes south of Stockton.

I ended up ordering a transmission thru Kragen for $1360 with a 18month 18K miles. Hopefully it is okay. I would still be interested in the place because I need to get one for my Jeep also.
