Can't tell if I have remote entry code

Hey, I have a 97 SSE that seems to have confused my local Pontiac dealer. When I bought it, it didn't come with any remote key FOBs. I didn't think too much of it since I also own a 93 SE that has them and figured that a loaded 97 SSE would naturally come with them. Well, I went to the dealer with the VIN and he ran it in the 'puter and printed out the codes for the car. He said he was looking for a AU0 code to identify if it had remote entry. But, all that showed up was a AU1 code that said it was for "lock, side door, fuel filler door, electric" He said that he didn't understand why the car didn't have the remote code. A mechanic walked by and said he thought all SSEs had remote entry unless someone special ordered one without it, but he couldn't understand the code list either. Well, the question is, how can I find out if my car has remote entry? :?: I have the complete code list, but nothing says it straight out.

I looked on the spare tire cover and no AU0 code. I would like to assume that it was part of the options packages that were listed on the car and not separated out into a code. I plan on going to a different dealer and trying my luck again. Keep ya posted. It would just seem that a car that automatically locked the doors when I put it in gear and unlocked them when I removed the key and operated the lock for the gas cover would have included keyless entry!

I guess it may just be a freak of bonnevilles. Ya know, the car fax says that it was originally delivered from the factory to a NY dealership and sold there, but it has a california emissions code!! So, I guess it can't be too hard to believe that it doesn't have the keyless option.
