Hit a deer gut pile at 85 mph and my Air Bag lite came on
I was cruising home after work last week and smoked a perfectly placed dead deer at 85 mph at 11:30 at nite. It definately tagged the bottom of the car. First thing I noticed was that the air bag lite came on, but once I arrived home, I turned the car off and back on and the lite went away. Any info on this phenomenon? Worst part was that I was due for an oil change, so rather than do it myself like normal, I took it to my quicklube at the local dealer. Had a hard time not laughing while I watched from the free cookie and pop waiting area.

I would check for stored codes. It may be that the airbag failed to deploy when the car thought it should have. Lucky in this case, but unlucky in the case of a real accident.
