Oh yea, zzperformance has the extended pig tail for the MAP sensor. It'* used for when people to the L36 L67 swap.

The crimping is on the pins, not wire to wire. Basically we're just putting a new connector on it instead of using a pigtail, so it'll be cleaner.

The crimping on the pins should be a little better than a wire to wire solder joint, that should be how the factory one was done on the wiring harness.

I do computer power leads the same way, granted there is no real vibration or moisture present there, still the crimped connectors are very reliable as long as they are crimped with the proper crimping tool.

That'* how pretty much all pinouts are done. I haven't seen any electrical connector where they soldered the pin on.

not so much recently but most were soldered some years ago. there are still some high vibration or critical equipment.
