Default Blower Fan Help.

Looking for information:
This morning my HVAC'* system Fan decides not to blow air. Im new to the forum and to this car, I just got it last week. Any info on where to look first would be great. 2000 SSEI. The HVAC unit operates correctly but the fans dont blow any air.

Thanks

take the connector off the fan and see if you have voltage when the fan is supposed to be on, if so the fan is bad. if not you have to work back and see why. sometimes the connectors are bad.

i had the same problem with my blower and what i did to fix it was take the blower down from under the passenger side dash and it is 2-3 screws holding the blower motor together, so after i got it apart you will see 2 magnetic contacts that make the blower spin and the shaft itself most likely the connection between the contacts and the shaft is bad and thats why the blower isnt working. all i did was scrape off the corrosion from the shaft and put the blower back together and good as new didnt need to spend the $130 to get a new blower

Heres what the blower looks like apart. Clean the copper strands on the center shaft and carefully move back the two spring loaded contacts and clean those as well. I also scrubbed the white plastic blades below.

Your better off getting a new one. Blowers are typically unserviceable and are just replaced.
