Thanks mremer, can you put the symptom of a bad oil pressure sending unit?
I think to make it clear we should put symptom and solutions.

Thx
We had a problem with ours, you will see a fully pegged oil pressure gauge, but no warning lights. It scares you the first time until you realize what it is.

mike,

can someone create a list at the beginning of each new page...just to summarize the issues so far mentioned as well as the estimated cost to fix? I would, but since I don't own a 00+, i would probably do it incorrectly. i am trying to summarize the issues mentioned so far...but it is a bit confusing...at least to a simple-minded person like me

We need to define common problems as well. I think it should need to cover at least 5-10 failures to be considered such.

And as far as I know, the bubbling hood only affected the 2000'*, and not many of them.

Hub failure is common, as is the intermediate shaft and window regulators.

Not sure I'd classify the BCS as a common failure? How many have gone bad from 2000-2005?

Replacing CV boots on one side as a pair: $180 parts and labor

Replacing HVAC air-mix door actuator (electronic controls) - $470 parts and labor

Replacing each rear window regulator - $370 parts and labor

Replacing oil pressure sensor - $150 parts and labor

... all done at the dealer.

Just asking, because I've only seen 2 or 3 here, and they were all 2000'*. My understanding was the 2001 used a better primer to prevent the problem on the aluminum hood.
