Whining Noise
I have a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville Se it has 113,000 well maintained miles on it. I recently changed the power steering pump and high pressure hose. But that is not the problem, the problem is when I step on the gas I hear a whining noise and seem to have lost some power.
Does anyone have any ideas what this may be?

I dont see anything leaking like antifreeze or smell anything. I was thinking it might be something in the belt area? I have a new water pump, belt tensioner, new belt but the only thing I didnt change is the alt. If it is the intake, how much does something like that cost to have repaired?
On letting it idle w/o the belt. Keep in mind that the water pump is driven off that belt. If you start it up w/o the belt and don't hear the noise, then it'* an accessory or pulley.
Turn each by hand feeling for any lack of smoothness or wobbling.
