Does anybody know if the 1995 Bonnevilles are ODB-II compliant? Mine seems to have the correct connector, but I've heard that the computer wasn't compliant until 1996. Has anybody tried using a Tech2 or an AutoTap on their '95?

I am seriously considering a scan tool for my '95 SSEi (series 1 SC). 
Looking at a few scan tool sites:

they show the OBD 1 + 2 connectors. The connection I found (under the dash at the drivers knees) is exactly like the OBD 2 and not the OBD 1. Does this mean I have an OBD 2 connection or do I have just the plug and do I still get the OBD 1 tool? If I get an OBD 1 tool, will the connectors fit together? :?
I just want to make sure I get the right one since I hear that the OBD 2 didn't come into play until '96.
I am also wondering how much information I will be able to pull from this. Will it tell me if a cylinder is missfiring, timings off, various sensors gone bad, or ....?
