Unhappy Ridiculously HIGH IDLE! 96 Bonny SSE NA..

Ok... I have thrown everything INCLUDING the kitchen sink at this car to fix this.

Started out with a high idle then a itstall and then no-start. Found 20 PSI from the pump. Replaced the pump, sending unit, fuel lines, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter. After all that it only had 20 PSI! Over the course of a month of digging and head banging off the wall.. found the ground bus bar on the drivers side horribly corroded. Fixed that then presto! Starts no problem, great fuel pressure.

Now just the ridiculously high idle. I have done the UIM, scrubbed the intake runners, cleaned the UIM, TPS, IAC, MAF, IAT, removed the throttle body and spent 30 minutes scrubbing it out, found the PCV had no o-ring, replaced it and the o-ring.

STILL runs between 2000 RPMs to 3500 RPMs! HELP PLEASE!!

There'* not much to clean on the TPS. Try sweeping it with an ohmeter to check voltage and if there are any bad spots. It should read 0 at closed throttle, if not, you have found your problem.

I'm sorry... I meant I replaced the TPS, IAC, MAF, IAT, AND PCV and seal. I cleaned the throttle body, the intake runners in the lower, and the upper intake itself.

Sorry for the lack of clarity.

If you cleaned the throttle body with carb cleaner with the MAF still on it , you may have killed it. The two don't play well together. But I agree, it does sound like a major vacuum leak somewhere.

The MAF was off while I cleaned it...
I have looked everywhere for a vacation leak... any suggestions as to, where else to look?
