Yeah it looks really wedged in there but trust me, it can and will come out. I had this nightmare happen to me due to stupidity. After I got my engine bolted in about 2/3'* the way I looked at the bench behind me and noticed my PS pump. HOLY F#@$ haha.. It was a pain, about 30min of knuckle banging, but it'll go in from behind/under/somewhat to the left-right-upsidedown-flipped-kinda...get that? You'll get it a little then you have to turn it some crazy direction and it'll go another inch, twist it back it'll go 1/2 inch, twist it again..and again...and again..Its a screwed up puzzle. I had my nightmare getting it in, which'll probably be harder than getting it out..meh, good luck

I took mine off to do my timing cover gasket a while back. Wasn't too hard. Just get the two bolts accesible through the holes in the pulley.

BIL came down as I was working on another SHO. He'* got a whole new vocabulary after pulliing the old pump out from topside and installing new one. Remember this pupply is probably OEM from 92. The rear bolt alluded him for almost an hour. Good news is that as I just finished major R&R on my sho motor that puked in NV, all the extra fluid splooge on the garage floor was irrelevant. Took, with breaks, about 4 hours.
FWD cars are just a PITA, IMHO. Course I own two - whose the dummey here???
Thanks guys for all your help.
