Default Non Start and wierd sounds. NEED HELP

My brothers 98 SE
Ok I did a search and found a few things but i have replaced most and it hasn't helped.
We replaced plugs, wires, coils, fuel pump, fuel filter.

We try to start and it won't. but when you turn the key forward the pump will engage but there is a weird 3 clicks behind the driver headlight, and if i unplug the ecu 1st bay towards passenger side. it will start but not run for long, but as soon as I plug it in. it wont start at all. I get cranking but no firing. I tested the wires and getting the right ohms and resitance and plugs are firing and coils are firing. PLEASE HELP.

Could be a bad crank position sensor.

I'm throwing out a good chunk of what you wrote in my mind because unplugging the Powertrain Control Module should never be done in hopes that the engine will run. So it'* kinda tough to figure that into the diagnosis.

Does it crank?
Does it spit and try to fire?
What is the Security light doing?
Do you have fuel at the rail?
Are the injectors firing when you crank/try to start?
Do you have spark?
Are the plugs wet?

To start a car it takes spark, compression, fuel. One of the three seems to be missing. Once we figure out which one, then we can hone in on why.

Does it crank? YES
Does it spit and try to fire? YES and then gives a deep exhale
What is the Security light doing? NOT GOING ON
Do you have fuel at the rail? YES I PRESSED THE PLUG IN AND IT SPITS
Are the injectors firing when you crank/try to start? YES pulled rail
Do you have spark? YES
Are the plugs wet? NO.

Full on weird acting car. If it doesn't start the windows wont work. We know it will start only when the windows will roll down. I unplugged the PCM cause it sounded like the 3 clicks we heard were coming from their.

Check out this article for more info. Both the power windows & fuel pump have their electrical grounds at this bus.
