steven,

does your a/c compressor occasionally make a light grinding metal sound? like a wire brush against a spinning aluminum fan? if it does, then your clutch is going...my lesabre did the same thing...compressor clutch needs replacing...when it fully fails, it either fails with the a/c constantly on (clutch stuck engaged) or with the a/c perpetually off (clutch disengaged). Am i right guys? if not, spank me...please..um...not really...that'* gay. anyway, as i was saying, if you are hearing that weirdo noise, it'* probably the clutch and messing with your blending doors won't necessarily fix the prob.

BINGO! but, since it goes on and off...your a/c should still be working...though it might have limited time...if it howls when it'* off....but stops when you turn on your a/c...then it is definitely working...the howling sound will get pretty loud sometimes...i hated having to go through the drivethrough with that...it totally obliterated my order it was so loud...i just started turning on the a/c even in the winter, to stop the noise!

whoa....hold on...your a/c clutch is still working...don't replace it yet until you find out truly what the cause is behind the "no cold air" problem...they might be unrelated...i still had cold a/c when my compressor clutch was howling...so something else might be wrong..

Steve, Don't worry buddy...you don't need to fix it for me. How'* 12 noon sound? I'll be there to collect it. Honestly gotta say I have been crackin up with this thread because I understand you never dove into this and have no clue because of that. Meanwhile BonneGod is beating you down, MOS is posting pics and you are in the local Walmart looking through the "glove department".

If you were nearby I'd be over to help out. I'm aiming toward the actuator for the air mix door or it'* sticking. I was handed a reciept from previous owner on mine with that same exact thing.
