someone delete this post if it confuses the poor guy more...but in my buick, if you drop the glove box, then you can see this little white plastic arm attached to a threaded rod...pulling/pushing this from side to side opens/closes the blender door...i think...of course, i have the dual climate control zones...ugh...maybe i'm just being more confusing...

Can't "drop" the glove box on 96-99. You can unscrew it and take it out. We went through this over the phone, except I couldn't take mine out (no tools here at work). Even if I could, I don't have ECC, so mine is just a bit different (Dual climate stuff and whatnot)

oh...in my buick, you merely pop the rubber wedges out of the top lip...and let 'er drop all the way on it'* hinges to the floor...oh well..

can someone with a 96-99 with the ECC do this to walk me through this? MOS has helped me big time but i couldnt get any further because I dont see what he was telling me over the phone. ANY ASSISTANCE WOULD BE APPRECAITED!!! PLEASE??!!??!!??!!

Still sounds very much like your airmix actuator. If you remove the lower hushpanel on the passenger side, and try to adjust temp on a normal car, you should see it moving. I'm betting on yours the actuator has failed, or the link from that to the door is broken. Go back to those links posted earlier in this topic for instructions on getting to it to check.

thats just it...the directions and pics that i sw are foreign to me. some of those words they speak of are words i never heard of like kornerknucle. i dont know what that is and how it looks. this is very fustrating.
