Default Lost the gf'* keys, no spare... Help me out the doghouse!

So I did the nice thing yesterday and ran out during the rain to save her seats, and I guess I lost her keys cuz she has "tossed the whole *#@^ house and still cant find the *#@^ keys"

Do we have to call a locksmith, or go to the dealer? What do we need for the dealer if that is the route we have to go? Does the car need to be towed, do we need our pink slip, etc? Thanks for all the help!

First, retrace your steps from yesterday and search again. Take your time. You could get lucky and save some money. If you do need a new key call around to the local GM dealerships and talk to their parts department. Different GM dealerships usually carry all GM parts(except Saturn) and sometimes their prices vary on the same part. The dealership needs your VIN# and proof of ownership. If it'* your girlfriends car then she will have to go to the dealership. Even though this car has a transponder in the key the dealership can still cut you a key with just the paperwork. They don't need the car. Last time I had a key made it was $35 ($25 for the key and $10 for the key codes).

Apparently somehow they fell into the kitchen sink. I mean seriously, who even checks in the sink if the keys are there? Well, sure enough, in the sink. Saved me $140 bucks!!! AND I got out of the doghouse w/out buyin flowers. Thanks!
