Default Idle not constant

Motor seems to get close to dieing then jumps up to 1800 rpm. More when I'm at a stop. Then when the rpm'* go up and i'm in drive, the damn car fights me and it almost scares me. I'm already not very impressed with my brakes and then to have something making them less affective, make me very nervious.

it might be worth taking off the throttle body and looking at the IAC passage

Default idle

In addition to the above mentioned, I would check the TPS voltage throughout the throttle range.

I had a similar issue with my idle. Drop low, shoot up, settle down, drop low agian...Turned out to be similar to a vacuum leak in that my oil breather was the problem. Might wanna double check the lines, and if you have a scantool check out your ST fuel trims.
