I should clarify, its BARELY an incline and the thing was damn hard.

But I was at AUtozone to get the codes the car was spitting out and the mechanic told me to let it sit on the parking pin gently and not to let it jolt into park. SO I went to the same spot, and did the same thing on an even larger incline, and I was able to shift without problems!

So with that cleared up, and after checking and thuroughly going over the car, I went back to the fella and I am now proud to be an owner of BOOST!!!!

I will be making a crap post in celebration in the lounge. :P Beer is on me.

it'* an easy solution. When you park, put the car in neutral, hold the foot brake, and set the e-brake before putting it in park. Had a few times that happened to me with my car (nothing as extreme as yours) and that ended the problem.

i use th parking brake whether i am on an incline or not, its just better on the tranny imo, i have mom doingthe same thing, it prevents the car from resting solely on the transmission and allows for easier shifts when u go from park to gear

This is great information to know. I honestly never knew this would happen, probably because I live in flatland Cow Country and have never in my life had to part on an incline. The things one learns here is amazing...

A worthy notatation here:

If you never use your parking brake, look over the components or have your mechanic look it over to ensure that the first time you use it, it does not freeze up due to rust or dirt.

Using the parking brake at least periodically is a good thing to keep it in good working order. This is your cable driven backup if your master cylinder fails.
