The other day while cleaning my 96 I noticed that the lower sealing strips were corroded inside. These are the rubber strips inside the rear door around the front of the rear wheel opening. They are held to the body with 4 screws. They appear to be rubber but there is steel inside so they conform to the shape of the body. If you press on these and hear rusted metal replace them before it spreads to the body. Mine were rusted through the rubber but paint underneath was ok. 10 min to change both. I ordered through the brasington gm site listed on the forum. part# 25544906 and 25544907 . 17.17 ea.

Mine'* rusting through the rear quarter seam over the rear wheels on both sides, immediately over the rear wheel. This looks _really_ bad on a white car, and since it'* coming through from underneath there'* not a whole lot I can do about it without major work.

I see other Bonnevilles rusting in exactly the same place, but on darker colors it'* a lot less noticeable.
