Isn't the idle voltage at the TPS supposed to be just under 0.75v?

motorhead: no i did not clean it at the time, I did not know you could actually. but I DID clean it recently just to see if maybe that WAS the problem..and that would be a NO, the sensor is 100% dead.

Ryan: you said you did the MAF test...did you REPLACE it?

That'* interesting. What the scan tool shows for the TPS doesn't coincide at all with your voltage tests with the DMM. Those digital meters are great for being inexpensive and getting very accurate readings. They suck, compared to an analog meter when trying to follow variations. The scan tool does seem to point to the TPS, though.

I'm curious about maybe some other readings, too. Does the IAC follow the variations when at idle, trying to maintain a steady speed? What does the O2 show during these times? When mine was going, it caused a few problems with speed variations and response.

Ryan, has the O2 been swapped out recently? It looks like the IAC is trying to keep up, but I'm not as sure about the O2 variations. Try the TPS, and see what that does first.
