wjcollier07, did you try cleaning the MAF sensor first? Sometimes just cleaning the tiny, tiny wires inside will bring them back to life. Bandit, you may want to try this too as it is free.

Unplug the EGR valve and drive it, does the problem go away?
i bet its not the problem cuz it started doing this before i had that EGR code come up, and the Does always come on when im having the problem. But ill try it, cuz i need to do it anyway
Also is does it when its cold in the Close loop, so that makes it even more confusing..

John, I might try that also, Cuz i did the one thing people say that can kill them, i sprayed it with Carb cleaner that was before i knew that was a bad idea..

Guys...it'* happening when he'* sitting still at a stoplight and other times. Car can be cold or warm.

Bandit.. someone called me, and we discussed your problem. Do us a favor. Drive home with only one foot tonight. Theory has it..you might be leaning on a pedal slightly, causing the surge.

Nope, i take my foot off the gas when i stop, i hold it off it.

but ill try it, but i don't have the problem that often when stopping, it more just taking off or if i power brake it a bit at the light, just a little on the gas.

But it does it 90% time when taking off.

sometimes i can start the car, and go, and nothing will happing, it works 100%, then other time start the car, and right off the bat even cold it will do it.

so its unpredictable on when it does it so far.

I will try it for half the drive home and then if its still doing it il will go back my normal way and see if it changes at all on how it happens.

Bill- Do you think i should Take me MAF out and clean it again? :?

I know I'm not Bill, but did you just clean it? Then I would say no. You could also disconnect the MAF and drive it, see what it acts like. When the MAF is disconnected the PCM goes to a set MAF value. However this is not a 100% test as the problem may be elsewhere and not act up with a fixed MAF value.

Get off your horse and get a clue ... motorhead... no one here believes that they know everything.

Ryan..since you cleaned it with brake cleaner on it.. I'd say it'* worth a shot. Unplugging it as motorhead mentions is the FSM way to check for an issue with it. Expect that you may get a CEL from it.
