I need to get a new alternator for my car... But I don't have the money to go to the parts store to get a new or refurbished one. Are there and other vehicles that have the same alternator that I have in my car so I can go to the junkyard, and pick on up?

I have no idea what H-body Alternators will match up with your car. Personally, I wouldn't pull an alternator out of a junk car. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night(much less drive on the highway) wondering when the "junk" alternator will fail. Spend the hundred bucks(probably less) and get a rebuilt unit. Also, it is recommended that you replace the battery at this time as well.

Go with rebuilt at least.. the only thing good bout junkyard alternators is that you can play with it and learn how to rebuilt your own Alternator.. other then that.. I wouldn't.

P.*. If you really for some reason want to.. look for any cars with series I.. and most ( not all ) will have the same bolt pattern and placement for your alternator

i know you can get yours rebuilt for like 40$us theres a shop here that does that

i can get one from the junkyard for like $35. And a rebuilt one for like $85.
